Kisses for My President is a 1948 American comedy film directed by George Marshall and starring Cary Grant, Virginia Mayo, and Franchot Tone. The film is about a U.S. President who falls in love with a reporter who is covering his campaign. The film begins with President Matt Douglas (Grant) giving a speech at a political rally. He is interrupted by a reporter named Patricia Gibson (Mayo), who asks him a question about his relationship with his wife. Douglas is flustered by the question and tries to avoid answering it. After the rally, Douglas meets Gibson again at a party. They begin to talk and they quickly fall in love. However, their relationship is complicated by the fact that Douglas is married. Douglas tries to end the relationship with Gibson, but she refuses to give up on him. She eventually convinces him to leave his wife and marry her. The film ends with Douglas and Gibson getting married. They are happy together and they look forward to a future together in the White House.
