Fury at Furnace Creek is a 1948 American Western film directed by Anthony Mann and starring Glenn Ford, Ruth Roman, and Jack Elam. The film is about a group of outlaws who take over a small town in the California desert. The film begins with a group of outlaws led by Frank Warren (Jack Elam) robbing a bank in a small town in the California desert. The outlaws then take over the town and hold the residents hostage. The sheriff (Glenn Ford) and his deputy (Ruth Roman) try to stop the outlaws, but they are outnumbered and outgunned. The outlaws eventually decide to leave the town, but they are ambushed by the sheriff and his deputy. In the ensuing gunfight, the sheriff is killed and the deputy is wounded. The outlaws escape, but they are pursued by the sheriff's brother (Ward Bond). The outlaws eventually reach Furnace Creek, a small town in the middle of the desert. They take over the town and hold the residents hostage. The sheriff's brother arrives and tries to stop the outlaws, but he is killed. The outlaws eventually decide to leave Furnace Creek, but they are ambushed by a group of vigilantes. In the ensuing gunfight, all of the outlaws are killed. The vigilantes then take over Furnace Creek and restore order to the town.
